Stuck in a quagmire
The U.S. government and media have told a series of lies with regards to the invasion and occupation of Iraq, but I think the one that amazes me most is the one currently being told: that the U.S. military occupation is helping Iraqis and that if the U.S. withdraws violence will increase. Let’s examine the facts:
The gray scale of religion
Reading the newspaper really is starting to make me weary. This world has seen more than enough religious “zealots” in the past few years than most people would care to see in a lifetime, ranging from radical Islamic suicide bombers to people right here in the state of Wisconsin.
Got alienation?
The alienation in our society stems from alienated labor. Workers have little to no control over what they produce or why they produce it. They also don’t own the products of their labor. Commodities are sold on the market, which escapes human control, as the business cycle demonstrates, even though it is a human creation.
The high cost of a college education
I see you nodding...off, that is, in a lecture hall 20 seats deep. Or maybe you’re the kind that appears to be paying attention and taking notes when in all actuality you just can’t bear the professor’s academic droning and have decided to get a little extra math homework done instead.
Criminal negligence
Milwaukee has a cancer. That cancer is crime. Milwaukee is now ranked as the 36th most dangerous city in America. In regards to murder we are doing even worse.
Dhimmitude in the West
It kind of snuck up on me. I didn’t even know this until about a week ago, but it’s Islamofascism Awareness Week again. From April 7 to April 11 students from campuses all over America are doing their part to raise consciousness about Islamofascism: the extremist ideology of violence that seeks to hijack the Muslim faith. Not to be left out I decided to do my part. This week I decided to raise awareness about a particular notion of Islamofascist ideology known as “dhimmitude,” and what it means for Western civilization.
No Go to Heathrow!
For those of you who had read my article last week, you will know the difficulties I had with my first flight. But the drama continues as I try to return back to the US via Heathrow Airport.
