Pearl leaves Tennessee

Time to move on

Bruce Pearl, native of Massachusetts, announced his resignation from the University of Tennessee on Friday afternoon. Pearl, who turned a Wisconsin-Milwaukee program completely around in four years, leading them to the Sweet 16, left the school for Tennessee just after their most successful season in school history.

“Ya know, I spent three years at UWM and it’s been three years at Tennessee, it’s just time for me to move on,” said Bruce Pearl Friday, as he announced he will be signing with the New Jersey Institute of Technology. “The NJIT program needs to be turned around and that’s what I do, I turn teams around.”

Vick done being a p---k

In a surprising turn of events, suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Mike Vick donated his house to be transformed into an animal shelter for dogs. Previously, Vick remained best known not only for his apparent avoidance of winning games, but also for his well-documented cruelty towards man’s best friend. However, times have changed and so has Vick.

“I’m a changed man. I love dogs. All kinds of dogs; big dogs, little dogs, hot dogs, even Underdog. Don’t matter to me.”

Hank Steinbrenner comes out of Red Sox closet

On Monday, March 3, Hank Steinbrenner announced in a short press conference something that, apparently, he had been hiding from his family for years; he is a Boston Red Sox fan.

“I can no longer hide my true feelings” said Hank wearing a signed David Ortiz jersey. “It has been years coming and now, with my true friends surrounding me, I can finally admit to myself and my family who I am really am.”
