UWM falls just short against UNI

Johnson’s career day not enough

Not even a collegiate high twenty nine points from Torre Johnson was enough to lift the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers past the undefeated Panthers from Northern Iowa.

In a game that remained close until the very end, it was the balanced attack by UNI featuring big man Jordan Eglseder that did UWM in. Eglseder finished the game with a personal best 20 points and 10 boards.

Football is a dangerous sport. Ask Joe Theismann and he’ll tell you all about the pains of football; at least after he’s done blasting Brady Quinn for his hippie haircut, chewing gum, and “loud” tie.

I mean, who could forget the compound fracture that ended his career? Anyway, injuries are pretty common in football because lets face it, it’s hard not to get hurt when you are 6’2, 220 pounds, and the guy jumping on top of you is anywhere from 60-100 pounds heavier than you and 3-6 inches taller than you.

Vick Done Being a P---K

In a surprising turn of events, suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Mike Vick donated his house to be transformed into an animal shelter for dogs. Previously, Vick remained best known not only for his apparent avoidance of winning games, but also for his well-documented cruelty towards man’s best friend. However, times have changed and so has Vick.

“I’m a changed man. I love dogs. All kinds of dogs; big dogs, little dogs, hot dogs, even Underdog. Don’t matter to me,” said Vick in a press conference.
