They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. It probably is, but the key to imitation is not to blatantly do it.

School violence is in the public eye again after the Virginia Tech shootings and the recent suggestion by a Milwaukee alderman to have school security aides armed with plastic handcuffs for those really unruly students.

America is a great land; the United States a great nation. Many years ago, a few determined and strong-minded people suffered many hardships to make a dream come true. This is the American Dream: freedom.

You really can’t even trust this column, to be honest.

Abortion morally wrong

I have been holding off writing this letter for some time because I wanted to wait until student elections were over.

As a people, we pride ourselves on being a nation of laws, rather than a nation of men ’ meaning that everybody is required to follow the rule of law regardless of their position in society. However, as a people, we have a fundamental value in the idea of fairness.
