Baseless attacks unwarranted
Are Reids comments defeatist or realist?

U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-NV), has come under fire as of late for comments he made regarding the status of the war in Iraq.
I believe, he said, that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and [the president know] this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq.

Makeover madness
I have always felt vaguely insulted by makeover movies. Shes All That was the first of these movies that I ever saw and maybe that started my hatred. What has always bothered me is the concept of taking an outsider and pulling that person into the fold by way of manipulation.
Yes, thats right: I consider all makeovers to be manipulation. If a person dresses or acts in a way that the mainstream deems off, they may find themselves on Maury undergoing one of his famous reworkings of character.

Convenience comes with a price
As you begin to sign up for summer and fall classes in the coming weeks and in your future semesters at UWM, you might want to avoid registering for any online classes.
They may be unbelievably and incredibly unmatchedly convenient because they save you oodles of time and gas money. Plus, you can do the class work whenever you have the time, but can you afford the $267 fee?

Partial-birth abortions should be legal
The partial-birth abortion issue is a difficult one to address, as people on both sides of the issue tend to be easily swayed by their emotions. I mean, come on: I am arguing for a persons right to have a physician induce birth to abort a life. People may say that is a gross generalization of the procedure, but lets not kid ourselves. This is a nasty procedure and everyone knows it.
I am not going to say that this procedure is the product of our societys best intentions. Rather, it is one of those unfortunate procedures that I believe is constitutionally protected in this country.

Alumni perspectives: Never leave college
It has been almost a year since I graduated from college. I proudly wore my gold cord as I sashayed across the stage and shook the chancellors hand. I was stepping off that stage as a college graduate, a huge accomplishment.
