Pelosis trip: helpful, not harmful
President Bush unsatisfied with Pelosis trip

Earlier this month, President George W. Bush announced his disappointment in House Speaker Nancy Pelosis trip to the Middle East.
This was after he learned that Pelosi was planning on visiting leaders from Syria, a nation that the Bush administration claims harbors terrorists as well as supports terrorism in other countries.

Society needs to lay off the artists.
All throughout high school and most of college, anyone who exhibited any interest in art was branded as weird by a lot of other people. Im sure most of the art majors at this school have experienced that.

Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson has many benefits over other candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination that would enable him to capture the votes of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee students regardless if the student voters are Democratic or Republican.
Thompsons name is well known to many students and as a candidate he will be able to win students over with his interest in education.

School choice hurts
Competition is a staple of this country. Since our roots we have encouraged people to set out on their own and discover their riches. People like Milton Friedman advanced the idea of competition by showing that it could be applied to other aspects outside the business world.
School choice was Friedmans idea. This program, for those of you who do not know, is based on the idea of free market competition. It seems like a bipartisan group of people support this: on one side there is the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and in the same bracket is the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. It seems like a great idea.

How long can the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee protect its students from the big bad RIAA? The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is out for blood this time; blood in the form of poor college students U.S. currency.
At first there were warnings here and there about alleged consequences for those who break the law and download music and movies illegally. Many of us dispatched the warnings quickly.
