Isnt anyone good at their jobs?

I recently called Applebees at Grand Avenue to place a to-go order. I pick up food from Applebees every couple of weeks on my way to work. This is not a new experience for me.
I call the restaurant, knowing perfectly well what I want. A woman answers and speaks so fast that Im suddenly unsure whether I called the right place.

Coulter: Say something intelligent
Freedom of speech is a principle that I value greatly. I truly believe that people should be allowed to freely express whatever they want, especially if it is speech that demonstrates an idea that the speaker is trying to convey.
Free speech is necessary in a democracy; it allows citizens the right to express to one another how we feel about issues, what we think is the best direction our government should take, and so forth.

The faux lies exposed
Everyone knows the story of 101 Dalmatians. In the story, there is this evil woman named Cruella De Vil. The fictional characters favorite hobby is to make coats out of dogs using their fur.
This idea is ridiculous, even for a fairy tale. Nobody would really want to wear a coat made with hair from a dog.

Salmonella roulette not worth the risk
The article by Melissa Campbell (My date with salmonella peanut butter, March 5) offers nothing to the reader but stupidity and gross irresponsibility.
I, for one, am all for people imitating Jackass for the sake of entertainment. Im not a fan of Shock Radio, but I understand its appeal. But this?
