When you drink at a bar, have these rules in mind

There are many things to be said about drinking in bars. Bars are a great place to meet people, get out of the house and socialize with peers. Some responsible drinking and fun with friends can be a great night out.

One can go to dance clubs, bowling alleys, sporting events, karaoke, concerts or just a corner pub to drink. Unfortunately, just like every other area of life, there are people who know how to act and those who don“t.

Congress to people: We hear you!

Presidential assertions of military power have been made since the founding of our Constitution. Even George Washington himself asserted power by ending the Whiskey Rebellion with the then-young American military.

But when the president oversteps his reach, it has not been uncommon for Congress to limit his powers to some extent. For instance, during the fall of the Nixon presidency, Congress reasserted its position in war policy by issuing the War Powers Resolution of 1973, which required Congressional approval for outstanding military conflicts lasting longer than 60 days.

Ernesto 'Che' Guevara is the real revolutionary

I take my coffee with cream, sugar and comfort

I feel that all groups on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus should have equal access to funds, and I was extremely angered to hear that the Student Association planned to put five completely different entities together into a cheaper one.

Three made it out relatively unscathed; the 8th Note Coffeehouse and the UWM Dance Team weren�t so lucky.

Come in out of the cold

The debate on where people are allowed to smoke on campus is heating up right as the weather starts to freeze. Due to the indoor smoking ban placed into effect last April, this is the first winter where smoking is no longer permitted anywhere inside campus buildings.

As a result, people who smoke have become increasingly agitated at being forced outside to puff a cigarette.
