Josh for Congress in 2008?
After a long and grueling campaign trail, his journey has come to an end, and the end doesn’t have a congressional seat in it. Josh Jennings may not have won a seat in Congress, but he did win a piece of many of our hearts.
Ask Keith Olbermann from MSNBC’s “Oddball.” Olbermann endorsed Jennings on his show, after stating that Jennings was not an actual candidate. Jennings was also mentioned on Tucker Carlson’s show on MSNBC. It was suggested that viewers should write him in wherever they live.

Have faith in new Congress
With the Democrats now in control of the U.S. Congress, many now wonder: what next? One talking point common for conservatives prior to the election was that, once in power, the Democrats will offer us nothing, and if they do plan on offering us anything, it will be higher taxes.
That is, in fact, untrue: tax plans by the Democrats (if they’re smart) would only affect the wealthiest of Americans. Indeed, as part of John Kerry’s presidential campaign, he offered to keep Bush’s tax cuts in place for Americans making less than $200,000 a year. As for other ideas, the Democrats offer many.

We students recently received a letter from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee requesting that we use extra caution while walking around campus. Apparently there have been an abundance of strong-arm robberies lately.
Do you know what strong-arm usually means? Someone grabs your bag, pulls until you let go and runs. The university police sent out these suggestions:

Right back at you, Green Bay!
Jon Hayden's letter to the editor was insulting and judgmental. Where does he get off pointing the finger at UWM students when practically all college students (and the general citizenry of the United States) are guilty of his accusations?
Apathy and ignorance run rampant in society at large, not just at UWM. So what if we don't have the greatest voter turn-out on our campus? Is it really that much higher at UW-Green Bay?
