Bucks and Panthers are two similar squads
Why students should root for Bucks, too

Students are just a UPass and a Route 30 bus ride away from NBA action. In fact, the Buck’s home court at the Bradley Center is the next-door neighbor to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers’ U.S. Cellular Arena.
Despite their proximity to the Panthers, the Bucks don’t seem to be getting the love they deserve — especially with a promising season underway.

For Grafton resident, wrestling can benefit
Grafton resident David Herro wanted to put on a wrestling show, but he wanted it to be for a good cause.
He chose to benefit the Variety Children’s Charity. Throughout the night, wrestlers signed autographs and raffles were held with proceeds going to the charity.

Junior named swimmer of the week
Junior Lindsay Caldwell of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women’s swimming team was nearly invincible at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 3, and, to no one’s surprise, was honored by the Horizon League as the Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season.
Caldwell’s day in the pool was nothing short of perfect as she won three individual races and was a part of Milwaukee’s four winning relay teams. Along the way, Caldwell broke numerous school, meet and pool records, leading the Panthers to first place in the nine-team event.

Women handle Division II competition
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women’s basketball team beat Division II Northern Michigan 77-65 Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Klotsche Center.
Senior Molly O'Brien led the Panthers with a solid all-around effort with 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Hawaii has overcome several obstacles in the past, but none more evident than the geographical problem.
Away games for Hawaii, especially against teams east of the Rocky Mountains, are half a world away. It is no wonder that the Rainbow Warriors are a different team away from Honolulu than they are in its friendly confines.

Davis rolls over South Dakota State
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men’s basketball team rolled past South Dakota State 76-51 last Tuesday in Brookings, S.D., and improved to 3-2 on the season.
Boo Davis lead the way with 21 points, scoring all of them in the second half. Joah Tucker added 19.
