UWM Times violates university policy
Editors instructed to ‘remove all their copies’

A new publication is in violation of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Activities Office Student Organization Manual, a student activities official said.
The UWM Times editors and distributors were instructed to recall all issues, said Tom McGinnity, assistant dean of the Office of Student Life/Student Activities.

Students lend a helping hand
Dorothy Lombardi and her mutt-dog Chipper wake each morning in her white South Milwaukee ranch to greet the sun as it peeks over the horizon.
She picks up one of nine rakes she has and gets to work. The large oak tree, brimming with deep purple foliage, lets go of a few dozen leaves each time the wind blows. Though it hasn’t released more than half its leaves this year, Dorothy’s lawn is a mishmash of all the colors of the rainbow except green.

Former SA official charged with 2 misdemeanors
A former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Association member was charged with two criminal misdemeanors on Tuesday, Oct. 25, for two separate incidents that occurred in September.
Christopher Brown, 22, faces a maximum fine of $10,000 or up to nine months in jail if he is found guilty.

SA senate OKs differential tuition
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Association endorsed the School of Architecture and Urban Planning’s request for differential tuition at its Nov. 6 meeting.
The differential tuition, if passed, would replace the current fee-based program. School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP) students currently pay a $525 fee per year for laptop computers. The new differential tuition would phase out the laptop program in favor of 434 desktop computers in the studios in the SARUP building.
