Despite adversity, Favre should keep playing

By R.C. Weich III

No more trouble in Titletown, right? Maybe.

After Green Bay’s 52-3 blowout of the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, the Packers are pretty pumped and the city of Green Bay should be, too.

Good behavior in professional athletes is important

By R.C. Weich III

An athlete is meant to be a role model and a proper citizen. Yet not all athletes follow this.

After hearing of the Minnesota Vikings’ alleged wild cruise on the lakes of Minnesota, it made me think of what it really means to don a professional uniform. It surely isn’t drunken debauchery.

Season still not over for Packers

By R.C. Weich III

Have no fear Green Bay Packers fans: the season is not a complete bust yet. Even though the Packers dropped to an embarrassing 1-6 record, there is still a lot of football to be played and the NFC North division is not very competitive.

After the 21-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Packers now must find a way to salvage a win or two to get the ball rolling the right way. Division rivals Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago have not performed either, so winning this division is still very possible.

At 1-7, it’s time to be worried

By R.C. Weich III

Well, now I’m scared. I really thought the 1-6 record wasn’t anything to worry about.

The Green Bay Packers again choked in a game that they could have won. Without their starting quarterback and one of their running backs (Jerome Bettis), the Pittsburgh Steelers looked like the underdog in this game.

It’s official: Packers’ first losing season since 1991

By R.C. Weich III

The Green Bay Packers are losing games that they very well could be winning. The past two losses to Minnesota and Philadelphia have shown that Green Bay just doesn’t have enough to win.

In both games, Green Bay held leads. In both games, the opposing teams cut those leads and eventually won the games.
