Women’s tennis bounced by Detroit

With the Panthers sitting at third place in the Horizon League, things are really looking up for the program under Sean McInerney

With a win over the University of Detroit, UW-Milwaukee sealed their position in next week’s Horizon League conference championship tournament as the third seed.

In beating Butler and Wright State, the Panthers have secured themselves into a top three seed heading into the conference tournament at the end of the season. With big wins over the two conference opponents, Milwaukee sits at a second place spot in the Horizon League just behind Illinois-Chicago (UIC).

The UWM women’s tennis team crushes division three opponent, Whitewater, in home matchup at Le Club on March 9. Goals of reaching the Horizon League championship are in sight for the women’s tennis team as they look to dethrone University of Illinois-Chicago from the position of conference champions.

The UW-Milwaukee women’s tennis team earned the doubles and took three singles matches to bypass Ball State 4-3.
