In the UWM Post’s front page article titled “UWM enrollment up: Minority student population decreased,” the story and graph incorrectly said there is only one Hmong student on campus. The UWM Post was unable to verify an actual number, but an email from Dao Vang in the student academic service office stated the ethnic group made up 2.1 percent of students on campus. It is also the third largest multicultural student group on campus (after the African-American and Latino student groups) and the largest sub-Asian American student group on campus--larger than all the other Asian/Pacific Islanders combined.
The UWM Post sincerely apologizes for the inaccuracy and will be looking into other details of the article.
