Trial date set for Rueden case
Proposed plea agreement in dispute

A September 15 trial date has been set for former Student Association President Russell Rueden, despite talks last month that Rueden would enter into a plea agreement.
In court today, Rueden’s attorney, Anthony Cotton, said that there is one issue within the plea agreement that has to be resolved, although Cotton did not specify what the point of contention is.
Rueden is charged with three counts of felony theft and two counts of misdemeanor theft.
The final pre-trial hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on July 25.
