UWM and Milwaukee Police issued 27 underage drinking citations after investigating a house party on the 2900 block of Maryland, April 12, at 12:09 p.m. The majority of the citations were issued to UWM students who ranged in age from 18-20.

An altercation between two male students in the Riverview Dorms on April 13 resulted in warnings being issued to the two involved. The pushing match began over a misunderstanding involving an I Pod, where one student fell and hit his head. The two were said to be slightly intoxicated and neither pressed charges after it was discovered the I Pod was in the possession of one the male’s girlfriends.

A bicycle was reported stolen April 15 from the north east corner of Lapham Hall. The victim said she locked the bike up to a rack on April 12, and returned on the 15th to find it missing, along with her bike lock. The dark blue mountain bike is valued at $330.

A female student reported a missing wallet April 17 after leaving Curtin Hall on her way to the Sandburg dorms. An unknown person had reportedly made purchases on her debit card without her permission, although there is no indication at this time where those purchases were made. Campus police are looking into the matter.

Two male students were issued citations for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia April 17 at 1:48 p.m. when campus police were called to the ninth floor of the west Sandburg tower. Upon approaching the suspect’s room, police noticed cold air coming from underneath the door and a suspicious smell. After questioning the two students, a small bag of marijuana, vaporizer kit, a multicolored glass pipe with residue, and a half bottle of Skol vodka were turned over to campus police. The two received a warning for the alcohol, but each received a $350.50 ticket for paraphernalia and $378 tickets for possession.

Two backpacks were stolen between 6:00 and 7:15 p.m. April 17, after being placed in the breeze way outside of room 256 of Mitchell Hall. One backpack was found by a custodian April 18 in a bathroom of Mitchell, although items including a $100 Verizon flip phone and $80 cash were not recovered. The other backpack contained 3 music CD’s, $30 cash, a cell phone charger, and wooden drumsticks, with a total loss of $359.
