Influential poet coming to UWM

American poet Adrienne Rich will be lecturing in the Wisconsin Room as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. For more information call 229-3111.

Journal Sentinel reporter wins Pulitzer Prize Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Dave Umhoefer won the Pulitzer Prize for his work on an investigation of pension deals for county workers. Umhoefer, 47, won the prestigious award for local reporting, and is the first Journal Sentinel staff member to win a Pulitzer Prize. He spent four months researching the intricate story, and two more writing it. Local church offering sex education lectures The St. Marcus Lutheran Church on 2215 N. Palmer St. is offering a series of sexual education courses entitled “Taking on Taboos.” The April 20 lecture is titled “What Satan is teaching your kids,” and will be followed on April 27 by a lecture entitled “What Satan is teaching married couples”.
