Based on the 1994 Disney animated film, “The Lion King” portrays actors in animal costumes as well as giant, hollow puppets. The show received the 1998 Tony Award in the Best Musical category.
Performances at the Milwaukee Theatre are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Performance length is 2 hours and 45 minutes including one intermission.
There are no student discounts available for the performance, but tickets range in price from $20 - 75.

Students living in Sandburg or Riverview can hop on the 15 bus that picks up on Oakland Avenue and drops off at Water Street and East Kilbourn Avenue. The bus will drop students off two blocks south of the theatre.
