Armed Robbery
On Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at about 9:25 p.m., a woman was robbed on the 2600 block of Oakland Avenue. The two suspects in this case were reported to be juveniles and they obtained cash from the victim after one of them displayed a handgun. The suspects fled the scene but were subsequently arrested by the Milwaukee Police Department. One of the suspects was allegedly involved in two additional robberies in the City of Milwaukee earlier in the evening.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a man was robbed while making a withdrawal at the ATM at the U.S. Bank on the 2300 block of Farwell Avenue. The suspect displayed a dark handgun and obtained cash from the victim. The suspect was last seen running westbound from the scene.

Alcohol Related
An 18-year-old male UWM student was arrested after yelling at University Police and demanding a chance to sleep in a jail cell around 11:13 p.m. Nov. 29. According to the police report, the young man was walking outside the university police station and screamed, “I want to be arrested and sleep in a jail cell.” Police accommodated the young man, who blew a .195 in a breathalyzer. After more than four hours in the jail cell, he was released at 3:55 a.m. to a friend who lives in the Sandburg Residence Hall.

A 38-year-old man was arrested Nov. 23 around 8:15 p.m. for driving under the influence with a .15 blood alcohol content. University Police stopped the man after he was seen driving recklessly, honking the horn excessively and failing to yield the right of way. When he was stopped near the corner of Cramer Street and Webster Place, he violently resisted arrest and was sprayed with pepper spray. He then attempted to run away from the police and, when caught, tried to swing at one of them.

Theft
A female UWM student reported a wallet missing from her car on Nov. 21 between midnight and 1 a.m. Her car was parked on the 3000 block of Cramer Street, and she said she does not know how anyone could have gotten into her car.

A bike, valued at $50, was reported stolen from the bike rack outside Sandburg Residence Hall on Nov. 27. The bike had been attached to the rack with a cable lock the last time the female victim saw it.

Accident
A three-car collision occurred on the corner of Newberry Boulevard and Maryland Avenue around 3:22 p.m. Nov.27. University Police came across the scene and called in Milwaukee Police for assistance.

Arrest Warrant
University police stopped a vehicle with its headlights off at 10:15 p.m. Nov. 27 on the corner of Kenwood Boulevard and Downer Avenue. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was not drunk, but there was a warrant out for his arrest and was arrested.
