Jackpot is no Goodwill. But it is a slightly classier and more unique alternative for anybody on the lookout for an excellent array of vintage and retro attire.

Jackpot, located at 825 E. Center St., is a vintage thrift clothing shop, with styles ranging from the ’50s to the ’80s, which makes retro clothing available to residents west of the Milwaukee River.

The store has slightly higher prices than other thrift stores. However, depending whom you ask, its ample variety of fashion options may make up for it.

Jackpot boasts a wide range of vintage clothing for both men and women. The store makes it easy for customers to find what they want. Nearly everything is organized very neatly by criteria such as color or long-sleeves and short-sleeves, with men’s clothing on the right side of the shop and women’s on the left.

Although the store is a little on the small side, Jackpot offers much more than just retro shirts and pants. The store has a nice selection of vintage hats, purses, belts, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses and more. This sets Jackpot ahead of many other thrift clothing shops. In addition, the store has a rather small and strangely random shelf of old collectibles, such as a pair of ice skates, a stuffed animal, a thermos, and a suitcase.

All things considered, Jackpot isn’t your traditional thrift clothing store where you can find an entire outfit for under $10. In the store, nearly every article of clothing, including shirts, pants, and dresses, costs in the area of $15-20. That alone could turn some people off, especially college students who may be looking for something easier on the wallet.

Needless to say, Jackpot is no Goodwill. But it is a slightly classier and more unique alternative for anybody on the lookout for an excellent array of vintage and retro attire.
