A UWM student was shot at about 11 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, on the 2700 block of North Murray Avenue, according to a campus police email.

Neighbors quickly came to the aid of the student, who was hospitalized a short time later. As of Tuesday morning, the Milwaukee Police Department reported him to be in stable condition.

Milwaukee Police are investigating whether the incident is drug related because, according to police, drugs were recovered from the shooting victim.
