Nov. 6 “An Inconvenient Truth”
Former vice president and presidential candidate Al Gore shares his knowledge and understanding of the science of global warming in this documentary directed by Davis Guggenheim. Gore, a longtime environmentalist, shows viewers that he is determined to reverse the effects of global climate change and its many consequences. “It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly, and wisely," Gore says in the film.
Nov. 7-11 “Hairspray”
Tracy Turnblad is an over-weight American teenager who loves to dance and loves to watch “The Corny Collins Show” with her best friend Penny even more. After a star on the show decides to leave, Corny Collins holds auditions for the next star of his show. Tracy, with the help of Penny, decides to audition and lands the role. John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Brittany Snow and Queen Latifah star in this musical that is full of laughs.
