In contrast to living at home, every resident of the Sandburg Towers is surrounded by members of the opposite sex 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we can’t help wondering what a relationship would be like with that certain someone on the floor below.

We’ve been living on campus for almost two months now, and we’ve already made our list of eye candy. The real question is, are we ready for a steady relationship, or just to play the field?

In contrast to living at home, every resident of the Sandburg Towers is surrounded by members of the opposite sex 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we can’t help to wonder what a relationship would be like with that certain someone on the floor below. Keep your distance though, with the DOs and DON’Ts of dating in the dorms.

Do

  1. Leave her love notes once a month.
  2. Ask him to stop at Palm Gardens with you when he’s done studying.
  3. Get to know her roommate.
  4. Surprise her with a pop-in visit.
  5. Study English together in the quiet study hall.
  6. Get to know her suitemates.
  7. Make time for each other after homework and work.
  8. Stay up late in each other’s dorms watching movies and eating popcorn.

Don’t

  1. Decorate their door or dorm with love notes once a month.
  2. Go to his room and drool on his homework while trying to pressure him, just so you can go to Palm Gardens.
  3. Fool around with her roommate.
  4. Prank him by knocking on the door and running. He will find out it’s you.
  5. Get together to study each other. Also referred to as the study of human anatomy.
  6. Get upset that half of her housemates are of the opposite sex.
  7. Make time for homework and work after him.
  8. Sleep in his dorm every single night. Mom and dad would not be happy to find out that is where all their money is going.

Attention daters, next time you decide to make the relationship plunge, remember these helpful dos and don’ts.
