Chief Justice Michael Roberts was misquoted in the previous profile of him. Here is another question and answer to correct the wrong information.
The Post: What are your job duties?
Michael Roberts: The most important job that I have is issuing constitutional interpretations to the Executive and Legislative Branches. I also oversee all cases and have financial responsibilities as well.
Post: What are the most challenging aspects about your job?
MR: The most challenging part of my job currently will be re-developing a system for handling parking appeals. We have recently been promised participation and oversight in this process.
Post: What do you like about your job?
MR: I really enjoy the people I work with and the experience that I am getting, but the point of everything we are doing is to get as much student oversight as possible. This is the most effective way to protect students’ rights.
Post: What do you want students to know about student court?
MR: The Student Court is one outlet for resolving conflicts between or concerning student life in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee community. While we will not be able to help every circumstance, all students and student organizations are encouraged to seek us out.
Post: Anything else you would like to add?
MR: The Student Court is developing a new prosecution and defense system that will be able to help students or student organizations with filing complaints and preparing their defense. This process will be run by interns who can gain credits through this program. We will soon be looking for interns for the spring semester.
