As a busy editor, you are taking a leadership role to your audience, many of whom are young people who are away from the parents who love them for the first time. They are vulnerable, impressionable and easily misled to be less than who they can be.

These young people are easy prey for sexual involvement, disease, depression and pregnancy, besides the available drug temptations and alcohol temptations to also lower their standards. They do not need council on the wrong direction from people who do not know and love them as us parents do.

As a parent, I do not want our children going to an expensive university to learn how to destroy their good character, high standards, and respect of self and others. They should not be misguided to disregard the years of loving provision and guidance from parents.

Upon reading parts of your paper, we are seriously considering a Christian college because of the low caliber of wisdom being reflected as a guide for our young. I regret that there is such a lack of self respect and [indecipherable] in our society.

Respect and help the ones you are in a position to lead. Parents know what is best…and any discussion to sexual activity before marriage is misleading. Think and examine before you write.
