It is early in the National Football League season and also in the fantasy football season, but there have already been some developments that could affect the whole season. I am going to give you some tips to improve on your roster.
First, let’s start with the injuries. These players have injured themselves and should be benched or taken off your roster:
QB Trent Green (head) questionable for week 4.
QB Aaron Brooks (pectoral) out for week 4.
WR Terrell Owens (finger) doubtful for week 4.
These three players, especially Owens, are on many rosters. If you are in dire need of a new receiver, drop Owens; otherwise keep him on the bench until he is healthy.
If some of your players haven’t been performing the way you thought they would when you drafted them, consider picking up a free agent.
Many players are available that could help your team gain some needed points.
Such players include:
QB David Carr
RB Marion Barber
TE Owen Daniels
K Josh Brown
If these players are available, grab them. Many players who go undrafted end up performing better than the players that are drafted.
Of course, there are the players that have performed up to their expectations. Keep these players.
QB Peyton Manning
RB Warrick Dunn
WR Plaxico Burress
TE L.J. Smith
If your team hasn’t been performing for you as of late, take a look at the free agents available. Look into their stats and numbers and you will be surprised who is available. Also, look at your opponents’ rosters and offer a trade.
Always look at players’ match-ups when deciding who to start and who to bench. Good luck!
