Check the report card

The end of the semester is creeping up ever so slowly and finals are suddenly on the horizon, so we thought it would make sense to whip out the red pen and do a little grading.

Whether you noticed or not, the Milwaukee Bucks season came to a quiet, disappointing end not too long ago. As a result of the 28-54 year, they arent going to like what the see when they check PAWS or HOOVES or whatever it is that the Bucks check for their final grades.

Although Milwaukee didnt play too well this season, its important to keep in mind how many injuries they had. Check the report card.

Mo Williams: B-

Mo put up some great numbers, but hes really a more natural shooting guard. Hes an excellent player but his future might be elsewhere.

Lynn Greer: D+

He looked terrible in his 14 total minutes in the first half of the season, but when he got on the court toward the end of the year, it looked like he might not be so bad after all.

Michael Redd: B

Redds an unbelievable shooter and a solid defender, but he still hasnt proven that hes a winner. Hopefully that will change next year.

Charlie Bell: C+

Bell got even better this year and the Bucks scouting department certainly deserves to pat themselves on the back for plucking him from Europe. Still, Bell didnt step it up like Milwaukee needed him to when the injury list filled up.

Ruben Patterson: A-

Ruben gets an A for effort. Well, A- anyways. He hustled his butt off every game and had a career year. Hell be a free agent this off-season, but the Bucks should do whatever it takes to make sure he doesnt have to register as a sex offender in another state.

Ersan Ilyasova: C

He played surprisingly well when given significant minutes and could play a big role in the Bucks future, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Brian Skinner: C-

It was nice to have Skinner back for a year, but hes lost a step “ or six.

Brian Skinners facial hair: A

Nobody really knows what that was growing out of his chin, but at least it stayed healthy.

Dan Gadzuric: F

When he gets playing time he hustles up and down the court, but who wouldnt for $5 million a year (besides Vince Carter)? When it comes down to it, he just isnt all that good at basketball.

Andrew Bogut: C-

Bogut showed some improvement this year, which isnt saying all that much, but hes still a work in progress. He wouldve earned a D, but its a pretty good bet that he doesnt really know what that is.

Charlie Villanueva: D+

Maybe this grade is a bit harsh “ hes a potential All-Star and we still screwed the Raptors in that T.J. Ford deal “ but he couldnt get into a groove this year. Most of that had to do with injuries, although he probably made most of them up.

Damir Markota and Jared Reiner: F; Academic Probation

Thankfully, these two shouldnt get too many minutes next year â?¦ in Italy.

Larry Krystkowiak: Incomplete

Although he didnt have a whole lot of success with one of the most talented NBDL teams in the league, Coach K is a definite improvement over lovable loser Terry Stotts. The few remaining players not shacked up at Froedtert seemed to play hard once Krystkowiak was named head coach, and they might have actually been playing some defense for about a week there. He seems to be the right guy to lead the Bucks back to the playoffs.

Medical Staff: F

Self-explanatory: Fire the whole bunch.

Unfortunately for the Bucks, there is no curve. However, they can retake this course next year, and are already expected to do much better. Now, stop reading the paper and go study for your finals “ unless you want your grades to look like these.
