Monday, April 9 Why White Kids Love Hip Hop Fireside Lounge @ 7 p.m. Come and see author Bakari Kitwana cover the realities of race in America.

Tuesday, April 10 Latin American Film Festival Union Theatre @ 7 p.m. Tonight, Salvador Allende is the featured film. It examines the leader of Chile“s popular unity government. Tickets are $4 for students and $5 for general admission.

Wednesday, April 11 Generation Debt Union Ballroom @ 7 p.m. Come to hear Anya Kamenetz speak on the startling range of economic upheavals facing young people in their 20s and 30s. Topics covered will be the rising cost of higher education, student loans and credit card debt.

Thursday, April 12 Half Priced Pool Union Rec Center @ 7-10 p.m. Come and enjoy half off of your game of pool with your student ID.

Friday, April 13 Foundation VIII: Mapping Union Art Gallery @ 5-8 p.m. Come to the opening reception of the 8th annual student exhibition of Peck School of the Arts-Department of Visual Art Foundations program. The work that will be shown is all done by UWM students and will showcase general mapping. Charting, planning, drawing and recording will all be showcased.

Saturday, April 14 Paper Making Union Studio Arts and Crafts Centre @ noon-2 p.m. Come and learn how to make your own paper. All supplies will be included. The cost for UWM students is $15, or $20 for community members.

Sunday, April 15 Celtic Women Milwaukee Theatre The group of five Irish women known as the Celtic Women will stop in Milwaukee during their national tour. Come to hear their takes on traditional Irish ballads and many of their own original songs. For times and ticket prices call The Milwaukee Theatre at 908-6001.
