In the world of video games, there are always some tricks that would help a player out in a time of trouble “ or even when they didnt need it. You could call them cheats, codes or secrets, but they are really all the same shortcuts to success.

If you know what this phrase is, I need say nothing else. For all the rest of you, Ive just written down what I would argue was the greatest cheat code in video game history.

Now this cheat code didnt give you invulnerability, the ability to walk through game geometry, or some other incredible power that made the game ridiculously easy. It did something very simple, but changed many a boys lives after that player put it in.

This code was the first code in a game that let a player take off a girls clothes.

Entering the code into Metroid for the NES allowed players many advantages, including the opportunity to start mere seconds from the end of the game, and had the added bonus of having the main character stripped down to her skinnies “ not naked, but close.

Before I had even bought the game, I learned about that password from my best friend. I couldnt wait to talk my parents into buying the game. I wanted it because it was a great game. Also, I was 9 “ give me a break.

My parents couldnt know about this secret. Here was one of the top selling games for my Nintendo and it has a secret sexual password for only me and the games producers to know about.

I remember when I finally got the game, I sat in my basement for hours running around the underground with a scantly-clad Samus. The strange thing was I wasnt really doing anything but wondering where I was and what I was supposed to be doing.

I had all the keys to success â?¦ but I couldnt do anything because I was lost.

I was too concerned with being able to play as the near-naked version of Samus, only to realize that I knew nothing about how to play the game.

Being naked with some is great and all, but thats just what it is “ being naked. Yes, quite often being naked leads to sex, and everyone likes sex. But after the sex, what are you left with? That great awkward moment in the morning in which you wonder, how did I get here and should I be here?

So I learned to take it slow. Just wait, and at one point youll be ready to undress. Im not saying you have to wait for a really long time, just until you know you are ready to handle the situation.

And with each try its different. Sometimes its OK to move faster than others, but sometimes its better to move slowly.

At the end of the day, rushing to remove clothes often leads you nowhere in the long run. When I was 9, having the ability to remove Samus armor didnt make it right to do so without knowing the game better. And now rushing to undress has gotten me into even more awkward situations.
