If you see a girl strolling around campus with a water bottle full of yellow liquid, itâ??s me. Wish me luck, because I am really going to miss my restaurants.

Dear Divine Dining Readers,

I am writing to inform you that I will not be doing a restaurant review for the next three weeks. There will be nothing to report to you as I will not be eating out for the next 14 days.

To be honest, I will not be eating much of anything for the next 14 days. You may be thinking that I am insane. That is alright because so does everybody else in my life. However, I am doing this for good cause.

Let me explain to you what this is.

In the media lately, there has been a lot of hype of how singer/actress Beyonce Knowles dropped 22 pounds in two weeks for her role as a 16-year-old girl in Dreamgirls. She was able to do that by the help of The Master Cleanse.

The Master Cleanse is anything but a diet. The book by Stanley Burroughs claims that the weight loss is only a side effect and will naturally be gained back after the cleanse is over. The Master Cleanse is a way of cleaning the colon; Burroughs recommends 10 days as the minimum to stay on the cleanse so the colon will be completely free of toxins as well as preservatives that tend to stay in and stick to the colon.

For the next 14 days I will be drinking a combination of spring water, fresh organic lemon juice, grade B maple syrup and cayenne pepper. At night I will be drinking one cup of senna leaf tea, and when I wake up I will down one quart of distilled water with two teaspoons of uniodized sea salt.

And you, faithful reader, will be able to read about my struggles and triumphs as I will be keeping a journal and publishing it for your reading enjoyment and, possibly, ridicule.

The Master Cleanse, a.k.a. The Lemonade Diet, has helped many people with not only reclaiming a healthy lifestyle, but those with bladder or colon problems and certain food addictions such as addictions to sugar and salt.

To learn more about this cleanse, I would go to your nearest health food store and purchase The Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs. It will cost you less than $8 and will take you about 30 minutes to read. It is less than 50 pages long.

Next week, I will give full details on how to make my daily lemonade drinks, as Burroughs likes to call them. I will also be giving you full details on how my colon is handling this.

Beware of the first few days of my journal. According to both the book and many that have done this, I can expect to be moody and crabby. That should be interesting.

If you see a girl strolling around campus with a water bottle full of yellow liquid, its me. Wish me luck, because I am really going to miss my restaurants.

Love,

Miranda
