Campus police report

Drugs/Alcohol

A 25-year-old male student was cited on allegations of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 4:27 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. UWM police were alerted to the man�s fifth-floor room in Kenilworth Square by a strong smell of marijuana. When the police arrived, they found several pipes and a small amount of marijuana.

Two 19-year-old male students were given tickets on allegations of underage drinking in Sandburg Hall North Tower at 3:33 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9. The men drew the attention of Sandburg security with alleged loud and disorderly behavior, at which point UWM police were called.

Theft

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a male student in Sandburg Hall North Tower at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4. University police questioned two friends of the man, who said they stole it as a joke. The computer was returned and the man declined to press charges.

A female staff member reported her wallet stolen from the Open Enrollment Services office at 11:56 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. The woman said that her wallet was taken from her cubicle. The wallet reportedly contained $50 in cash.

A male student reported a laptop computer stolen from his dorm room on the ninth floor of Sandburg Hall North Tower at 6:22 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The man reportedly went outside to smoke a cigarette and came back in to find his laptop gone. The computer has a reported value of $1,900.

A female student reported her backpack stolen from the women�s locker room at the Klotsche Center at 4:11 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8. The backpack was reportedly left in an unlocked locker and has a reported total value of about $220 including its contents.

Other

A 36-year-old male student was arrested on allegations of armed disorderly conduct in the Golda Meir Library at 6:11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. The man allegedly began shouting and disturbing people around him when a copy machine wasn�t working properly. University police were called in and reportedly discovered that the man had knives on him.
