The greatest holiday ever created is finally upon us. Valentine“s Day is the time to participate in all the loving and romantic activities you can stand.

Everyone except you and me, that is.

The following are some stories that will ease your mind and make you say “It could be worse.” These stories encompass the victims--or their friends--and their experiences on the day that gets girls all giddy.

Victim: Carly Frisch, 25

Incident: Carly explains that her experience on one Valentine“s Day involved her boyfriend forgetting about the whole day until the late afternoon. Somehow he was reminded of the celebration and set out to get flowers.

“It was real obvious he forgot and he came home with two bouquets of flowers, one for me and one for his friend who also forgot about Valentine“s Day.”

Victim: Alex Woodward, 21

Incident: Alex“s story involves no women, but rather a date with hilarity. On one particular Valentine“s Day he and five of his buddies weren“t doing anything, so they drove to Hooters. Alex explains that one of his friends was drinking schnapps in the back the entire car ride there. After Hooters they decided to go to Hollywood Video to rent, well, a movie.

“My friend decided he needed to throw up and that I needed to stop the car. He fell into a snow bank and threw up orange because of the barbecue wings and then he bloodied up his knuckles.”

Victim: James Pike, 21

Incident: James“ experience revolves around pie. Apparently, James was dating a feminist and, as an inside joke between the two, would always say, “Go in the kitchen and make me a pie.”

“I asked her to go in the kitchen and make me a pie constantly. On Valentine“s Day she finally did.”

Wait for itâ?¦

“We broke up the next day.”

Victim: Jackie Babe, 21

Incident: Jackie has the most painful story of all. After one Valentine“s Day dinner Jackie and her former boyfriend went back to her apartment. She describes her experience in the following quote:

“My boyfriend at the time was trying to be romantic and attempted to throw me onto the bed, but ended up throwing me into a dresser instead. He said it killed the mood.”

There you have it. Four stories to show that your Valentine“s Day could be worse, with or without someone. If you really feel the need to be loved, you could always call one of your parents. Unless they too are celebrating Valentine“s Day, then you“re S.O.L.
