Drugs/Alcohol
A 19-year-old male who is not a student was charged on allegations of disorderly conduct and underage drinking in Sandburg Hall North Tower at 3 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. The man was reportedly drunk and loudly making threats to Sandburg staff.
A 22-year-old male who is not a student was issued a citation on allegations of possession of marijuana at 4:44 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. The man was a guest of a resident of Sandburg Hall North Tower. UWM Police were alerted to the room after someone complained of a strong odor of marijuana.
Theft
A male student reported his backpack stolen from the UWM Bookstore at 1:19 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26. The backpack, which also contained the man�s wallet and had a total reported value of $86, was unattended near the entrance of the bookstore.
A faculty member reported $93 worth of �chotskies�stolen from their desk at 12:07 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29. There are currently no suspects.
A female student reported her laptop computer stolen from her room in Sandburg Hall North Tower on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 30. She alleged that a man came into her room and ripped the computer from its security cable and ran. She then chased him until he got in a car and drove off. The man, who is not a UWM student, was later apprehended by the Shorewood Police Department and charged with theft.
A digital camera reportedly valued at $349 was reported stolen from the Kunkle Children�s Center at 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31. The camera was allegedly taken from an unsecured office.
Robbery
A male student reported being beaten and robbed on the 3400 block of N. Bartlett Avenue at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29. The man said that he was threatened by two men and gave them his wallet, which contained $10 in cash. He then reported that the men beat him after taking his money.
Other
A 21-year-old male student was given an OWI at 11:57 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26. The man was reportedly stopped after driving the wrong way on N. Farwell Avenue and narrowly avoided hitting a UWM police car.
