Hinkle Fieldhouse, home to the No. 13 team in the country, seemed to be a bad place for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers men“s basketball team to start its two-game road trip.

The Butler Bulldogs (22-2, 10-1 Horizon) topped the Panthers (8-17, 5-7) 66-47 on Feb. 3 in a game that should inevitably secure the Bulldogs a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Ricky Franklin scored 17 points but Butler star guard A.J. Graves had 20 points and Mike Green added a solid 14 as the Bulldogs rolled over the young UWM squad.

The first couple minutes of the game would show how the rest of the game would be. Butler went on a 9-0 run to start the game off.

Butler went up 34-18 at the half and it seemed all downhill from there for the Panthers. The Bulldogs went up 42-18 to start the second half and it took UWM eight minutes to make a field goal in the second half.

"You just have to give credit where credit is due," UWM head coach Rob Jeter said. "They had played a lot of games in just a few days but they came home and took care of business. It's a credit to how they do things."

The Panthers will face Wright State in Dayton, Ohio tonight at 6 p.m.
