Drugs and alcohol
An 18-year-old male who is not a student was cited on allegations of underage possession of alcohol at 1:31 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25. The man was spotted by campus police walking eastbound on the 2300 block of E. Kenwood Blvd. with a bottle of Admiral Nelson’s Raspberry Rum.
A 20-year-old male was cited on allegations of underage intoxication and resisting arrest at 3 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. The man was approached by UWM police for allegedly matching the description of a suspect in a robbery that took place near campus. He allegedly ran and was caught near the 2100 block of E. Hartford Ave. He received citations for running from the police and having alcohol on his breath.
Theft
A 13-year-old female who was accompanying her sister on a campus tour reported her purse missing at 11:55 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27. The girl’s purse was found later that day in the Union with $40 in cash and a $25 Kohl’s gift card reportedly missing.
A male student reported his bike stolen from the bike racks on the east side of Mitchell Hall on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 30. The bike has a reported value of $400.
A rash of thefts occurred in the Klotsche Center between 4 and 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30. A male student reported his $74 cell phone and a wallet containing $4 in cash stolen from the gymnasium while he was playing basketball during this time. Another male student reported a $380 cell phone and a tan track shirt stolen from a shelf in the pavilion hallway. And one more male student reported a wallet with $105 in cash stolen from a different shelf in the pavilion. UWM police have no suspects at this time.
Robbery
Two male students were reportedly robbed of $7 in cash at 11:03 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26. The two men were allegedly approached by a black male just under six feet tall in his mid-20s with braids on the 3200 block of N. Oakland Ave. The man reportedly demanded money and threatened the students. It was not verified whether or not he had a weapon.
