Drugs and alcohol

An 18-year-old male who is not a student was allegedly caught walking past the University Police station drinking from a can of beer at 11:18 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. The man was issued a warning and released.

A 19-year-old male student was issued a warning on allegations of underage drinking at 2:12 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The man was allegedly found with alcohol on his breath in the Sandburg Commons.

Theft

A female student reported her purse stolen from the Lapham Hall atrium at 8:56 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10. The woman said she left the purse in the atrium and returned to find it gone. The purse has a reported worth of $200 counting the cash it contained.

A female student reported her purse stolen from a classroom in Merrill Hall at 9:28 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10. The woman said she left the purse in the classroom and returned 5 to 10 minutes later to find it gone. The purse has a reported worth of $110 including the cash it contained.

Four male students reported four separate incidents of theft from the Klotsche Pavilion from 3:03 to 3:47 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. One man reported he had $40 in cash stolen, another reported his $350 cell phone stolen, another reported his $100 cell phone and Mastercard stolen and another reported $20 in cash and a $50 cell phone stolen. All of the items were allegedly stolen from the cubbies by the workout area in the pavilion. There are no suspects at the moment.

A male student reported his laptop computer stolen from his dorm room in Sandburg Hall’s East Tower at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. The man said he left the door to his room unlocked when he went to a friend’s off-campus residence on the afternoon of the 11. He came back to find the laptop, reportedly valued at $1,400, missing.

A female student reported her purse stolen from a classroom in the Chemistry Building at 12:07 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13. The woman said she left the purse in the room and returned to find it gone. The purse reportedly contained $19 in cash and the woman’s student ID.

A male student reported his bike stolen from the bike racks outside of Mitchell Hall at 8:43 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The man said he secured his bike with a cable lock and found it broken by the racks. The bike has a reported value of $415.

A male student reported his bike stolen from the bike racks underneath the Maryland Avenue overpass at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The man said he found his bike and the lock he secured it with missing. The bike has a reported value of $390.

A female student reported her laptop computer stolen at 11:21 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16. The woman said she left the computer in a classroom in the Engineering & Mathematical Sciences Building and returned 40 minutes later to find it gone. The computer has a reported value of $700, while the bag it was in is worth a reported $20 and the mouse for the laptop worth a reported $15.
