Thanks to those who helped
I would like to thank all of those involved in getting help for an unresponsive man on the afternoon of Oct. 18. He was found at the bus stop on Maryland and Kenwood and was in need of care.
At least three students aided in getting him emergency help. The response from the Milwaukee Police Department, Fire Department and ambulance service was exceptional.
I appreciate the actions of anyone involved, and it is uplifting to know there are such caring individuals out there.

Portrayal of Abercrombie not accurate
Recently one of your staff writers, specifically Michelle Holtz, wrote an article titled “All-Out Abercrombie: A micro-society of social inclusion or unabashed celebration of superficial living?” in which she directly attacked and belittled Abercrombie & Fitch, its employees and its patrons.
Having been employed at Abercrombie & Fitch for the better part of two years, I can tell you a few things about the company and its employees.
First and foremost, Abercrombie & Fitch was one of the most fun jobs I ever had. The people are happy and outgoing, the atmosphere is laid back and the patrons enjoy it very much. Yes, we had a lot of fun there, but we also did a lot of work. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to keep that store running in an efficient and attractive manner.
Despite what many have heard, and despite what this paper has reported, Abercrombie & Fitch employees do not become members of some ultra-exclusive cult. It was like any other working environment I've ever been in.
People who work together tend to want to play together. Friends became mutual friends, and bonds are formed. Sure, we threw parties — I myself hosted more than a few. A&F employees want to let loose after hours, just as I assume UWM Post employees do.
So yes, I worked at Crombie. I even threw some parties while I worked there, and Michelle was never there. Neither she, nor anyone else for that matter, was ever excluded, ejected or turned away at the door for not wearing Abercrombie clothing. My parties were open to the mass public, and sometimes the mass public attended.
They're tightening the bonds between people who have to see each other day-in and day-out for hours at a time, which we all know can become exhausting if you're not surrounded with people you enjoy.
I made a lot of great friends while working at A&F, and I love them all. I still talk to many of them, and will never forget any of them. They were all great people and, to this day, I'm glad I took that job.
