The semantics of lesbian porn

Who knew? Straight men as most avid lesbian porn consumers, lesbians obsessed with guy-on-guy action and pornos with actual plots. A very eye-opening interview with two porn store lesbian employees.

I’m sitting in the parking lot looking around my car to see if I have anything of value in it. Then I wonder why I’m thinking my car is going to get broken into while I’m at the porn store.

This place isn’t shady. It is just porn — everybody watches, everybody loves it.

I’m going into this porn store to ask a friend of mine why so many guys like to watch girl-on-girl porn. She must be an expert because she a) works at a porn store and b) is a lesbian.

Before I walk through the anti-theft security door, I hear “He’s here,” and all the employees at the store cheer my arrival. I walk through the security and there she is, Lesley B. Anne (alias) standing behind the counter. She says “hi,” then asks for my ID.

It’s good to be carded for something nowadays.

I meet the other employees before I begin the interview with Lesley, including another lesbian worker on the same shift. Lesley invited her to answer my questions with her.

What is it like being lesbians in a Pornland?

Lesley: It’s great! Women, both straight and gay, come up and ask about dildo selections. Straight girls always come and ask us what a good first vibrator is.

Caressa: It depends on how many straight men I have to deal with. Also, drunks aren’t too fun either.

So is there a difference between lesbian porn and girl-on-girl porn?

Caressa: Lesbian porn really doesn’t exist, unless you find it on the Internet. But otherwise it there isn’t much different.

Lesley: Yeah, there is no difference at all because they are all mostly amateur actors and they’re all really bad. There are few good girl-on-girl actors. Except for Jenna (Jameson).

What is the difference between lesbian and girl-on-girl?

Lesley: It is who the porn is geared to most of all, like lesbian porn will have strap-ons and more toys.

Caressa: Girl-on-girl porn almost always features an innocent “straight” girl experimenting with another girl.

Are straight guys the ones buying/renting the girl-on-girl porn?

Lesley: Yeah, definitely. They normally get girl-on-girl, but there has been an increase in squirting and cum-guzzlers. Straight couples also pick up girl-on-girl, too.

Girl-on-girl is definitely for the straight demographic of porn-viewing society?

Caressa: Yeah, a lot of lesbians don’t buy it. If they do, it’s because they have no other choice. But some women do get gay porn.

Wait … gay porn as in guy-on-guy only porn?

Caressa: Yeah, that’s it. It’s all I take home and watch lately with my girlfriend.

And that sets the mood? Please explain.

Caressa: I think that people select their porn for two reasons: They either rent/buy what they like to do themselves or they rent/buy something they could or would never do. Lots of the people who get bondage porn would never do it in real life. But it gets them all excited.

Lesley: I’d have to agree with that 100 percent.

So guys watch girl-on-girl porn for that reason. It’s something they could never do in real life. Since guys tend to have a penis and all?

Lesley: Yeah, I think that could be one of the reasons. That and girl-on-girl action can often lead into a three-way in porn.

Caressa: Three-ways are a good fantasy because they seem so unachievable with a lot of straight guys and straight couples. Girl-on-girl porn is a good fantasy tool for three-ways or a good starting point for a couple.

So the girl-on-girl porn plots are to blame because they are so different from regular porn plots.

Caressa: Porn situations have plots?

Lelsey: No. Most porns don’t have plots, only one main company really makes actual movies with plots that are also porns.
