In a stunning flurry of goals Sunday afternoon, senior Neil Dombrowski led the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers to a 4-1 victory over the Loyola Ramblers.

The team bounced back from a double-overtime loss to the Michigan Wolverines and destroyed the Ramblers, who fell to 6-7-2 on the year, 3-2 in the Horizon League.

UWM gave up one goal in the 69th minute to Keum Kin Sung of Loyola.

It was fitting that the Panthers had a three-shot edge on the Ramblers, as those three shots represented the difference in the score. Freshman goalkeeper Grant Fernstrum recorded another strong performance, nabbing five saves while keeping the Ramblers to one goal on 13 shots.

For Dombrowski, Senior Day could not have turned out better. He tied both school and Horizon League records for goals scored, nailing all four of the Panthers’ goals. He had two in each half.

Next week, the Panthers head up to UW-Green Bay for the next installment of the Chancellor’s Cup.

UWM (9-3-4 overall, 4-1-1 Horizon) has won the last five of those matches, and will try to keep the Chancellor’s Cup against the Phoenix (7-6-0 overall, 2-3 Horizon). The match will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday night in Green Bay.
