As the battle for the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference heats up, the Milwaukee Bucks prevailed in an outstanding game over the Indiana Pacers, 96-89, Saturday night at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
The game was once again a back and forth struggle, but this time, the Bucks were the victors.
The Pacers are the Bucks No. 1 competitor for the sixth spot in the East and the victory put even more distance between the two. The victory placed the Bucks a full one and a half games ahead of the Pacers.
The whole first half the Bucks looked as though they were lagging from a difficult game the night before in Detroit where they shot only 26 percent to Detroit’s 59. However, they went to the locker room down only six and looked poised to make a run.
And a run they made.
Michael Redd ignited the Bucks’s offense, scoring 20 of his 39 points in the third quarter. The Bucks played stellar basketball, but the Pacers stuck with them.
The Bucks entered the fourth quarter up only two, 74-72.
The fourth quarter was once again an exciting battle. With gritty back and forth basketball, the Bucks looked impressive as they edged out Indiana 96-89.
Charlie Bell once again played tremendous basketball and added 10 points. Andrew Bogut also contributed stellar game play with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
The team is meshing. With only nine games left in the regular season, why not be a Bucks fan?
With a record of 37-36, an explosive won’t-quit attitude and a young team, combined with Charlie Bell’s sudden spark, they look forward to making waves in the playoffs.
