Theft
Two 18-year-old female students reported that clothing, underwear, makeup and bus passes were stolen from their dorm room in the North Tower of Sandburg Hall on March 13 at 5:56 p.m. The items were valued at $395, of which $271 worth was recovered.
A 19-year-old male student reported that his digital camera was taken from Gold Meir Library while he was studying on March 14 at 12:37 p.m. The man did not indicate to police how much the camera was worth.
A 23-year-old male student reported his bicycle stolen from a rack outside the Music Building on March 15 at 7:34 p.m. The bicycle was locked to the rack with a cable lock, which he found cut in two. The bicycle was valued at $540.
A 24-year-old male student reported the shocks from the front tire of his bicycle stolen near Mitchell Hall on March 15 at 8 p.m. The shocks were valued at $600.
A 19-year-old male exchange student from France reported that his computer, cell phone and headphones were stolen from his dorm room in the North Tower of Sandburg Hall on March 16 at 6:59 p.m. The property was valued at $1,370.
A College of Health Sciences employee reported that $20 was taken from an office in Merrill Hall on March 17 at 1:20 p.m. Two employees pooled their money together to order a pizza, had the money on a desk and left the door to the office open when they exited the room.
A custodian reported that 10 rolls of toilet paper were stolen from a first-floor bathroom in the Business Administration Building on March 20 at 7:17 a.m. The toilet paper was valued at $45.
A custodian reported that a paper towel dispenser was taken from a bathroom in the Engineering and Mathematical Sciences building on March 20 at 8:18 a.m. The dispenser was valued at $50.
A 24-year-old male student reported that his cell phone was stolen from the Gold Meir Library. The cell phone was valued at $300.
A 19-year-old female student reported that her laptop was taken from her North Tower dorm room in Sandburg Hall on March 26 at 10:37 p.m. She told police her laptop was in her room before she left for spring break, she had locked her door and that upon her return, it was gone.
Other
A custodian reported that someone wrote on the wall of the first-floor men’s bathroom in Engelmann Hall on March 15 at 9:35 a.m. The damage is valued at $20. There are no suspects.
A 19-year-old male student and an 18-year-old male student were issued verbal warnings for skateboarding in the fountain near Curtin Hall on March 15 at 1:25 p.m.
A 19-year-old female student reported that she received a harassing phone call to her South Tower suite in Sandburg Hall on March 18 at 1:31 p.m. She told police she received an “annoying phone call,” which lasted 20 minutes. A male called her asking for her help because he was rushing a fraternity and had a questionnaire he needed to fill out. He asked her basic questions at first but began to get personal, to which the woman said she would hang up if he continued.
Two 18-year-old males were warned and released for causing a disturbance in a Mitchell Hall computer lab on March 24 at 4:01 p.m. The men were misusing the computers, and one of them was eating food while in the lab. Only one of the men is a UWM student.
A custodian reported that human feces were spread on the mirror, urinal and floor of a men’s restroom in the Engineering and Mathematical Sciences building on March 27 at 6:14 a.m. There was no damage.
