One of the biggest draws of the East Side is its nonstop activity. Several East Side businesses have recently moved to different locations and some new ones will soon open their doors to the most vital area of Milwaukee.

The long-vacant space next to Ristorante Bartolotta on Downer Avenue will soon be filled with the aroma of pancakes cooking on the griddle.
The Original Pancake house, which is also located in Brookfield and Madison, offers more than 15 kinds of pancakes, along with a menu of other traditional breakfast items.
Waterford Wine Company
1327 E. Brady St.
From purrs to pours — this wine shop has replaced Metropawlis, the pet boutique that recently moved to the Third Ward.
Owner Ben Christiansen’s goal is to make this a cozy store where people can learn about wine. He anticipates holding tastings and other events in the future.
Wines will be grouped by style. So, if you know you want a sweet, white, fruity wine, you won’t have to wonder around looking for different kinds — they will all be grouped together.
Bulls-Eye
Farwell Music takes on a new name and location in the space next to Comet Cafe that used to be the Constant Reader bookstore.
Owner Luke Lavin hopes to open Bulls-Eye this May.
Going
Farwell Music
2218 N. Farwell Ave.
The Farwell Avenue location of this record store closes later this month after the rent was doubled.
