Theft

A wallet containing a checkbook was stolen from an office in Bolton Hall on Jan. 30 at 3:17 p.m.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 30 at 12:45 p.m. for shoplifting a cookie valued at $1.89 from the Union Bookstore. He was issued a citation for $282.75.

A student reported on Jan. 31 that her bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack in front of Sandburg Hall sometime over the last two months. The bicycle, a rental from the Outing Center, was valued at $50.

A student reported that her bag containing clothes and a cell phone was stolen on Jan. 31 at 7:04 p.m. from a dressing room in the Fine Arts Theater.

A laptop was stolen from an office in Bolton Hall on Jan. 31 at 7:22 p.m. The laptop was valued at $1,600.

A film projector was stolen from Cunningham Hall on Feb. 1 at 9:56 a.m. The value of the item is unknown.

Ten dollars was taken from a Union employee’s wallet on Feb. 2 at 6:38 p.m. The wallet was inside of a locker designated for Union employees.

A laptop was stolen from an office in Cunningham Hall on Feb. 2 at 10:21 a.m. The laptop was valued at $1500.

Burglary

A person forcibly entered storage lockers in the basement of Cunningham Hall on Jan. 31 at 9:06 a.m. A laptop valued at $2000 was stolen and the estimated cost of the damage done to the lockers was $75. There are no suspects.

A UWM employee reported that someone entered his office in Bolton Hall and moved some items around on Feb. 2 at 8 a.m. He did not find anything missing.

A person attempted to enter an office on the second floor of Bolton Hall at 8:49 a.m. on Feb. 1.

Vandalism

A film projector was vandalized in the Business Administration building on Feb. 2. It cost $50 to repair the projector.

A 19-year-old male student was arrested on allegations of vandalism for breaking fluorescent lights in the North Tower of Sandburg Hall on Feb. 3. He was issued a citation for $251.50. When an officer asked him why he did it, he said that he “used bad judgment.”

Hit-and-run

A BOSS van was hit by a green Ford Escort on Jan. 31 at 10 p.m. on the corner of Humboldt Avenue and Center Street.

Other

A man was seen streaking through Sandburg Hall on Feb. 4 at 11:25 p.m. Witnesses said that the man was wearing nothing but white socks and tennis shoes. No arrests were made.
