Dances choreographed by UWM faculty members Luc Vanier and Janet Lilly, and New York-based, artist-in-residence Ronald K. Brown. The UWM Department of Dance has programmed its entire season around the theme of art, faith and social justice as a core participant in the citywide festival bearing that name. In choosing faith as the theme for Winterdances, the choreographers found themselves raising a series of questions — questions about the individual’s relationship to spiritual journeying, technology and refuge.
